Do I need a life vest for kayaking in the ocean?
so I'm going to the beach soon and this year we are taking our kayak inflatable ocean to take with us. I was wondering if I need a life jacket while kayaking [I have 15], but I doubt we'll be away from the coast, but I do not object if I need one. And if I need one, what kind should I buy? Type 2: Type 3: I have two. I was thinking of type 2 because theres no padding or anything back so I can lean easier and does not back up if I want to jump in the water a bit ... but the type 3 allows greater freedom of movement .. and I think they are both the same when it comes to comfort .. but tell me what you think! Thanks!
On a ship, anywhere, you need a life jacket. Type 2 is a life jacket. Type 3 is a PFD - device Personal flotation. More people when kayak have a 3 of a kind type 2.
